BA, BSW, MSc, RCC.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#19003) with eight years of work experience in public health, non-profit and education systems. In addition to my role at Conscious Mind Counselling & Consulting, I work at Fraser Health's Child and Youth crisis program as a clinician. My educational background is in neuroscience, psychology and social work. My areas of specialty include mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma, life transitions, developmental disabilities, self-harm behaviour and substance use.

I am passionate about working with clients to have a better understanding of themselves and their experiences. I believe that understanding clients’ needs, providing a compassionate, safe, caring, non-judgmental space supports the path to discovery and creating positive and meaningful shifts. I incorporate evidence-based interventions (eg. CBT, DBT, Mindfulness) along with a focus on the body-mind connection. I look forward to connecting with you to learn more about you and work alongside you in reaching your best potential.

Languages Spoken: English & Turkish

Who am I outside of my role as a therapist?

Some interests and activities I enjoy are playing tennis, watching funny animal videos, and being around nature and water. I also enjoy sarcasm and puns and absolutely love dogs.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
